Tigershark Swimmers and Parents,

Great work at practices over our first three weeks at Bent Creek.

1.  Excellent improvement on breathing to the side for ALL of our 5 to 12 yr old swimmers.  Backstroke is ready for most all of our 5 to 12 yr olds

2.  Our 9 to 12 yr olds have made fine strides in their butterfly and breaststroke technique.  Most of them can choose to enter butterfly or breaststroke at the meet, as long as they feel confident of their technique.  9&10's swim 25's and 11&12's swim 50's

3.  Still more work to do with our 5 & 6 yr olds on breathing to the side.  5&6's normally swim only free and back, with a very few in 8&under breast or fly if they already have mastered those strokes.

4.  We will do continued technique work on butterfly and breaststroke with our 7 & 8 yr olds.  Not many of our 7 & 8 yr olds are ready for butterfly or breaststroke, but may enter those if they want to try.

Meet #1 is this Wednesday, June 17th

*Meet entries for Meet #1 are due by Monday, June 15th by 8:00 pm

Parent Meet Volunteers: Watch for another email communication this coming weekend concerning Parent Volunteers we will need as timers and other duties to see our Summer Meets run smoothly.

*Parents are not required to volunteer, but your help will see that the meets run smoothly for all of the kids.

I picked up our Team t-shirts at D & J Sports in Dallas.

My wife, Patti, will be at practices on Monday morning, June 15th, by 9:45 am to 11:45 am, to pass out our Team T-shirts to our swimmers and parents. She would love some much needed parent help with this job on Monday morning, June 15th.
