Timarron Tigersharks Start-up Infomation

Timarron Tigershark Swimmers and Parents,

I hope your school year is winding up well. Summer is upon us and we are looking forward to a FUN time at the Timarron Bent Creek pool this Summer with our Timarron Tigershark Swimmers. Our coaches are looking forward to seeing all of our Tigershark swimmers soon.

Our Tigershark practices begin this coming Tuesday, May 28th.

Tigershark practices are M-T-Th-F at the following times:

*There is some flexibility in group assignments....see Coach Murphy if your swimmer may need an alternate practice time.

See below the practice schedule for each group:

HS Swimmers (mostly 15-17 yrs) 7:20-8:50 am

Middle school swimmers (mostly 13-14 yrs) 9:00-10:00 am

9-12 yr old swimmers 10:10-11:00 am

5-8 yr old swimmers 11:10 am-12:00 noon

Each swimmer should have their swim suit, goggles, cap if needed, and FINS (be sure to mark your name on your fins with permanent ink. (Bring them every day and be sure to take them home with you every day, so they don't get lost or picked up by another swimmer)

ALL 4 & 5 yr olds will have a short swim test on their first day (push off wall and swim a minimum of 10-12 feet on their own) with Coach Murphy to make sure they are safe to begin practices.

Parents are ALWAYS welcome to stay and watch our Tigershark practices. Coach Murphy is available to answer quick questions or concerns, before or after practices.

The West magnetic gate at the Timarron Bent Creek Pool is the only pool entry. That gate is to remain closed at all times, except when entering or leaving the pool area. Coach Murphy, one of his Assistant Coaches, or a parent volunteer, will make sure all of our parents and swimmers can get into the pool area.

I am compiling and ordering our Timarron Tigershark t-shirts today, and hope to have them available at practice on Monday, June 10th, before our first meet on Wednesday June 12th..

Watch for additional information to be sent home, on our Meet entry procedures and parent volunteer slots for our swim meets at the Carroll Aquatic Center.

I am excited to see everyone on Tuesday morning, May 28th!
