Summer Meet #2

Nice job by our Tigershark Swimmers, Coaches and Parent Volunteers today at our Summer Meet #2. I really appreciate all the hard work put in by our coaches and parent volunteers!

A special "Thanks" to Coach Ausdenmoore for putting together our heat sheet, helping with late entries, the volunteer event sheets, and lining up the final results for us to send out right after each meet.

We still have more work to do on breaststroke and butterfly technique, although it looked better today than last at week's meet.

***ALL of our Tigershark swimmers MUST touch the wall with two hands on breast and fly and stay on their backs until they touch the wall on backstroke!! ( I am sure there were some good swims that were disqualified for those two infractions )

We will work on those two items at practices on Thursday, Monday and Tuesday as we prepare for Summer Meet #3.

Remember, Friday after the meet is FRIDAY FUN DAY, so don't miss out. Coach Murphy's wife, Patti, will be at the Bent Creek pool on this Friday and next Monday with the Team t-shirt distribution again.

***I would like to see more of our 13 & over swimmers enter and participate in our remaining Summer League Meets, along with as many of our 12 & under swimmers as possible.

So, parents, if you and your swimmers can give up a Wednesday afternoon to participate in our Summer Meets, our coaches would really like to see your swimmers race!

Coach Murphy was the Starter today and will be the Starter moving forward. Our 6 & unders were done before 4:00 pm and the entire meet was over by 5:05 pm. Not a brutally long afternoon for either the swimmers or their parents.

Ribbons should be ready tomorrow morning or Friday at the latest.
