Meet #3 Recap and end of season schedule

Tigershark Swimmers and Parents,

Nice job at our Meet #3. Our Parent volunteers are doing an excellent job marking the events, heats and lanes on our swimmer's shoulders and getting all the relays lined up and to the starting ends. Good job by our coaches also making sure the swimmers get to their correct start lanes on time. Thanks so much for everyone's hard work on meet day.

I had a nice compliment from one of the Carroll Aquatic Center Lifeguards during warm-up for our 6 & under and 7-10 yr olds: He said: "Your swimmers look a lot better than they did in warm-up for the 1st meet". I asked what he felt was better and he responded, "I did not see any kids crying today, and they actually looked like they knew what they were doing"

As a coach, I was very impressed with our 5 & 6 yr olds as they were swimming with their hands and arms above the water and breathing every four strokes as we have taught. Most all of our swimmers stayed on their backs in their backstroke races and touched with two hands on breaststroke and butterfly. Very encouraging. We still have work to do with making our breaststroke and butterfly for the 7 to 12 yr olds, more "legal" with the proper technique, but the kids that have been coming consistently have improved greatly with their technique.

Two weeks to go to the finish of our 2021 Summer Timarron Tigersharks Season. Our last meet will be Wednesday, July 21st, at the Carroll Aquatic Center, same meet schedule. We hope everyone that is in town can attend and compete in this final Meet #4. Be sure to get your entries done, on the Timarrontigershark.com website by Tuesday July 20th at 3:00 pm. Our last practice will be a Friday Fun Day on Friday, July 23rd.

I plan to go to the Timarron Owners Association Office on Monday to see if we can reserve the Bent Creek pool for our "end of season" party on Friday evening, July 23rd at 5:30 pm. Once I get the day and time reserved, I will have additional Party planning information available for the parents.
