Just a short review of our Summer League Meet #2.

We will have ribbons at our pool for pick-up by Friday morning.

We had a few DQ's (disqualifications) at the meet.... 

Primarily fly and breast    a.  one hand touches and 

                                         b.  illegal kicks, flutter on fly and scissor on breast

Backstroke....still a few swimmers turning over on their stomach before touching the wall.

***We will continue to work on these items...Again, the more often the swimmers come to practice, the more instruction they will receive on proper technique and reinforcement on legal strokes, turns and finishes.

We are still struggling some with kids that are entered, placed on relays and then are "no-shows" on meet day.  Thanks so much to our parent volunteers and Coach Dru Murphy for their efforts in damage-control to replace missing swimmers and fix the relays.  Unfortunately, often the names on the relay results do not match up with the replacements, since there is not enough time to change the names in the computer before the meet gets underway.  This results in incorrect ribbon awards for the relays.

So, once your swimmer is assigned to a relay, which we post on Monday mornings, please do your best to get those kids to the meet for their relay Teams.

It was a fun meet, with a number of best times turned in and some very good finishes in the races and relays.

Three more meets to go.  If we can get all of our swimmers to some of these final meets, we might sneak up on the Sea Dragons and "steal" a meet or two.
