Wow!

Nice job by all of our Tigershark Swimmers at the first Summer-League Meet!

Final Team Scores:

1st Carroll Sea Dragons 944 points

2nd Timarron Tigersharks 880 points

3rd Southridge Lakes Barracudas 527 points

***A Very Special Thanks to all of our Parents (mostly ladies and one Dad!) who helped us get all the 12 & under kids lined up for their relays and events. I think every relay made it to the blocks and swam, with only two relay DQ's out of 26 relays! Great job swimmers, coaches and parents!

Thanks to Coach Dru on our entries and last minute changes and additions and relay replacements. Without EVERYONE's help, we could not have operated so smoothly today. GREAT JOB by everyone!

We will hope to have our ribbons in the file folders by Friday morning. *The ribbon volunteer ladies could use some help tomorrow morning getting those ribbons distributed in the file folders.

Important things to remember:

1. Entries for Meet #2 (12 & under) are due, online, by Saturday afternoon, so Coach Dru and Coach Murphy can build the relay assignments on Sunday. Coach Murphy will take entries, in person, for the 13 & overs on Thursday and Friday mornings. Parents, please do your best to "commit" to showing up and swimming in the meet, when you enter your swimmers, so our relay assignments run smoothly.

2. This Friday is our first "Friday Fun Day!" 1/2 of the time we will practice, 1/2 of the time we will have games etc. We will have snacks ready for the 10:45-11:45 group and we still need a volunteer to contact Sonia Leonard for directions to line up snacks for our 9:30-10:30 group on Friday. 3. Monday at 5:00 pm is the "HARD" deadline for any late individual entries.

4. The more often you come to practice and swim, the more you will improve! Enter the meets and race, so you can see the improvement. We will be focusing on breast and fly technique, along with turns and backstroke finishes, to get better prepared for the next meet.
